When we operate CNC machine tools to process CNC Machining parts, we often use the following tool walking skills:

1. The speed of white steel knife shall not be too fast.
2. The copper workers should use less white steel knives for rough cutting and more flying knives or alloy knives.
3. If the workpiece is too high, it should be cut with knives of different lengths in layers.
4. After roughening with a big knife, use a small knife to remove the surplus material, and smooth the knife only when the surplus is consistent.

5. The plane shall be processed with flat bottom cutter and less with ball cutter to reduce processing time.
6. When the copper worker cleans the corner, first check the size of R on the corner, and then determine the size of the ball knife.
7. The four corners of the calibration plane shall be leveled.
8. If the slope is an integer, the slope cutter shall be used for processing, such as pipe position.
9. Before each process, think about the remaining allowance after the previous process to avoid empty cutter or excessive machining.
10. Try to follow a simple cutting path, such as contour, grooving, single side, and less surrounding height.
11. When walking WCUT, those who can walk FINISH should not walk ROUGH.
12. When the profile light knife is used, rough polishing shall be performed first, and then finish polishing. When the workpiece is too high, the edge shall be polished first, and then the bottom shall be polished.
13. Set the tolerance reasonably to balance the processing accuracy and computer calculation time. The tolerance is set to 1/5 of the allowance for rough cutting and 0.01 for light knife.
14. Do more procedures to reduce the time of empty cutter. Think more and reduce the chance of making mistakes. Make more auxiliary lines and surfaces to improve the processing condition.
15. Establish a sense of responsibility and carefully check each parameter to avoid rework.
16. Be diligent in learning, good at thinking and making continuous progress.
Please remember the following jingles about CNC processing!
Milling non plane, use ball cutter more, use end cutter less, and don’t be afraid of connecting cutter;
The small knife clears the corner, and the big knife is refined;
Don’t be afraid of patching. Proper patching can improve the processing speed and beautify the processing effect
High hardness of blank material: good for reverse milling
The hardness of the blank material is low: the straight milling is better
The machine tool has good precision, rigidity and finish machining: it is more suitable for forward milling, and vice versa
It is strongly recommended to use forward milling for finishing the inner corners of parts.
Rough machining: up milling is better, finish machining: down milling is better
Good toughness and low hardness of tool material: more suitable for rough machining (machining with large cutting amount)
The tool material has poor toughness and high hardness: it is more suitable for finishing (machining with small cutting amount)
